Nagpur Agriculture Produce Market Committee, Nagpur, in collaboration with Indian Farmers Fertilizer Co-op Ltd., New Delhi (IFFCO) has started a new venture, Soil Testing Laboratory in the year 2004. A.P.M.C., Nagpur has constructed a spacious building for the laboratory. The laboratory has been completely computerized. The main purpose of laboratory is to test and analyze the soil samples of the farmers, on ‘No profit No loss’ basis and to recommend them to use the proper doses of fertilizers and to improve the soil texture. This would ultimately help the farmers to reduce the input cost and increase the yield.

APMC, Nagpur has prepared an information broacher for farmers explaining how to take representative soil samples from the field. This broucher is available at soil testing laboratory, at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Market Yard, Nagpur and also at our website www.apmcnagpur.com

APMC, Nagpur has a view in mind to convert the laboratory to ‘Farmer’s Information Centre’ in the near future, where all information regarding use of seed, fertilizers, insecticide & latest technology and complete information regarding farming would be available. This centre is completely devoted for the needs of the farmer.

All the farmers are hereby intimated to make use of the facility of Soil Testing for using proper doses of fertilizers to increase the yield.
